6 principal veins: Tomnnatec, Tomnatec Ramura 3, Ramură, Preluci, Preluci Ramură 2, and the Vein 18.

Very complex geology. The veins cut Miocene granodiorites and monzodiorites and, locally, partially hornfelsized Paleogene sediments. A "partially hidden" Cu-porphyry system is also present (exposed at the surface). Also intereresting skarns (at the Arcer adit).

The Cu-porphyry are surrounded by rocks in which large, up to 10-cm-sized pyrite cubes were found (said to be the largest in Romania).

Some outer veins bear up to 1-cm-sized arsenopyrite in a matrix of owyheeite, freieslebenite, and cinnabar.

The local andesites bear some zeolites and "apophyllite".
