Located approximately 7 kilometres east north-east of Ravensthorpe. Records were found dating back to 1901. The mine was operated originally by miners named Smart and Nicholas. Ore was sent to the Wallaroo smelters in South Australia for smelting. The shaft initially reached a depth of 17 metres, and the lode was 1.8 metres wide.
By 1906 the main shaft was 31 metres deep, number 2 and 3 shafts 20 metres deep, and both of the latter shafts were connected at this level to the main shaft. The lodes in 1 and 2 shafts averaged 1 metre in width. Number 3 shaft was poor in copper but high in gold. Total output at that stage from 1901 was 75 tonnes of ore, and it was considered one of the more profitable mines on the field.
In 1911 the proprietors were noted as Cowell, Kingsmill and still Nicholas. The last report on mining at the location was dated 1913.
The mine occupies a shear, dipping steeply south, mineralisation across a width 0.6-2.4 metres. Most mining was done in disseminated material in the oxidised zone above 18 metres from the surface. A chalcopyrite rich vein, 45 cms thick was found at the 39.6 metre level. Trace nickel and cobalt is reported.
