"(Coming from Neussargues-Moissac). Northwest of Saint-Flour on the N679 and then the D14 from Talizat. Mines with antimonite [= stibnite], arsenopyrite, bournonite, chalcopyrite, graphite, marcasite, pyrite, and sphalerite." [Belot, 1978]
Ancient antimony mine that worked on quartz veins containing stibnite, berthierite, and pyrite.
Located east of Auliac and about 6 km NE of Neussargues.
Several smaller veins, cutting the main one are known:
- Vein N°2, NNE-SSW, located 100 meters downstream the mine bank, on both sides of Le Landalou brook. Pyrite and stibnite in quartz, with silicified migmatites.
- Vein N° 3, NE-SW, located West of the main vein, on the left side of Le Landalou. Stibnite in quartz and mylonites.
- Lissargues vein, NNE-SSW, located 200 meters West of Lissargues hamlet, across Le Landalou brook. Stibnite with quartz and silicified migmatites.
