A quarry in sodic shonkinite, which was abandoned in 1974. The lower levels are flooded, but shonkinite and nephelinite are still well exposed in the back wall (northwestern side) of the quarry. In the southwestern wall, veins of tinguaite, tinguaite porphyry and alkali trachyte crop out.
