Abandoned quarry exploited culm (lower Carboniferous) greywackes and conglomerates of Moravice Formation.
Several types of hydrothermal veins were discovered: quartz veins with calcite, minerals of chlorite group and albite, quartz-carbonate veins and stockwork with sulphides (mostly pyrite and sphalerite).
By weathering of primary sulphides secondary minerals were developed ("limonite" and Cu-minerals).
Calciopetersite originated due to alteration of a microscopic REE-mineral, possibly calkinsite-(Ce), from the thin dolomite-ankerite veinlets intersecting the stockwork with Cu-mineralization.
