Improving Mindat.orgAnother ? clinosafflorite

http://www.mindat.org/photo-182636.html looks like typical tarnished safflorite. Clinosafflorite is tin-white and does not tarnish.

Hi Reiner,

Looks like a coating of Safflorite on Silver or partial to complete replacement by Safflorite after Silver.

Looks like..Looks like... I've found, over the years that, to be sure, you really need to analyse these sorts of things. In this case x-ray would absolutely be necessary. It could be a coating or any a number of pseudomorphs after whatever. Is there any mechanism in mindat.org to ask the owner of a photograph if they have had the specimen analysed or how they know what it is/ can justify the label? (or is this the mechanism that we're participating in?)
