Wow, red granite. My Azeztulite stocks just plummeted in value...:-D

No, no Jim -- Read the advertisement - this stuff harmonizes well with azeztulite, so your stock may be increasing in value!:)-D

One of our two local retail mineral/crystal shops is always trying pawn off stuff like this. Reminds me of the brightly colored "Man Made Obsidian" they sell there ("Well the kids like it" the lady at the counter said, somewhat apologetically.) That shop also happens to be where I get a sizable number of my "real" mineral specimens, so I guess; whatever keeps 'em in buisness...

Matt, in reference to your local shop.....during the late fifties & early sixties I worked in two bands, one a Bebop (jazz) band and the other a Blues band. Also worked in "pick-up" bands behind touring soloists. Being something of a musical snob, by 1965 I found my work drying up - I wouldn't take a job in a rock or western band.....then my union steward told me something your shop owners know well - "Ya gotta play pretty for the people!!!"

well that's kinda what I figured; "Whatever keeps 'em in buisness." Sometimes you gotta compromise.

This place is one of two retailers that actually sell mineral specimens out of a shop; the other one is more of a lapidary/gemcutter place so each one kinda has thier own niche. We have at least one other local mineral dealer that sells only wholesale, i.e. at shows, flea markets and whatnot, but has a regular job he works to keep the bills paid and it's like I said; I dont wanna judge anybody for stuff like this. I do appreciate what this site is about, which is to educate people about the physical geological properties of minerals but if some people think polished pink granite helps cure jock itch or whatever then there is nothing wrong with that.

Feel free to judge.
